For Matt Storm, Distance Is Nothing In New Song ''Look At Me Baby''
Making a relationship work with someone living in the same town isn’t easy. Trying to make it work from afar is even harder. But for aspiring artist Matt Storm, the secret to it is hidden in one fundamental element: honest and true love.
Storm’s latest single, ‘‘Look At Me Baby’’ which also features the angelic voice of CBC’s Searchlight 2016 winner Desirée Dawson, clearly shows how Storm’s a hopeful person and artist. The song has a smooth vibe with a soulful & catchy indie-pop/folk theme, and speaks about trying to come to terms with distance during a relationship. The Vancouver native explains how the time that you spend with your better half is just as essential, since it’s where you can cherish those moments together and keep them as a proof of enduring love. ‘‘ ‘Look at Me Baby’ is all about trying to come to terms with distance during a relationship; expressing your love for each other and enjoying your time together is important because it will be your source of strength when you're apart.’’, he says.
No matter the weather, you can be sure that Matt is always hard at work when he’s hitting the Orchid Studios in East Vancouver. Acting as the studio’s house engineer, Storm is surely busy, helping other local artists. But when he becomes the songwriter and composer for his own tunes, he takes all the influences and inspiration from his experiences, and he produces some impressive indie soul music. He focuses his search for meaning through melancholy, and hopes to define love through vulnerability, in his songwriting.
Matt Storm is a promising artist and getting his name known on a fast pace in Canada. His music is available in numerous media platforms.
