Watch Out For... Sinnah
Swedish up-and-coming artist Sinnah is making a splash with her new single, ''Angry Ex''. The song which obviously talks about a past relationship where no regrets are felt, has a nice pop flavour and brings out a certain catchiness to it.
The song is SINNAH‘s fourth single since her debut earlier this year, after what constituted a promising start in her native country’s national station P3. Indeed, Sinnah has skills not only in singing but also as a songwriter. With that and hard work, her career could certainly skyrocket itself with the years to come.
“Angry Ex” has an undeniable touch of early Taylor Swift mixed with the laid-back confidence of Tove Styrke, with hints of adorkable humor that remove any unnecessary drama. It’s a bit like a Roast Yourself Challenge that’s aimed at your ex and their new girl: You own the negative stuff they’ve brought to your life and laugh it off by turning it into something you can tap your feet to.
Sinnah explains of the song, ''There’s a certain maturity in that mindset: You don’t fall into toxic people’s game… but you don’t take yourself too seriously, either. Some of the song’s lines are priceless in a quirky, almost goofy tone: “But time will slap you in the face, with a chair” can feel more like a drunk complaint than a threatening comeback.'' All the while, the sum of all the catchy elements gathered together in “Angry Ex” turns the song into an automatic earworm. Carefree bouncy piano chords, quite memorable vocal melodies and almost child-like choruses that will surely feel epic if you sing along to them in the shower.
Be on the lookout for more music from this amazing talent. 2018 is just the beginning for Sinnah as it looks to be the start of a very promising career. Only time will tell it all fares out but we can bet that Sinnah will work her way up to hit that spotlight she deserves. Watch out for Sinnah y'all.
